Creating my personal craft.

Practice: actions over thoughts or ideas.

Creating my personal craft.

I am not sure when to consider my start date, on this path I am on. It has either been a few months, in earnest, or a few years as a curiosity.

In either way, I am realizing that I need to create my own craft. I can't follow the path of someone else, as I've done in the past. That just doesn't work for a myriad of reasons. I also think that I can't follow a series of "beliefs" or rather, a "system."

I need to take my personal experiences and create something that speaks to me, and for me. Right now, I am developing three areas that I want to focus on, and of course, these are subject to change as I grow or shift; it is good to be flexible for my own sanity. The rigidity of my previous mental cognitive dissonances were too much to handle.

However, it is the vocabulary that I have, and in a tongue-and-cheek move, I am going to use some of that vocabulary to describe my personal craft. Here is what I have so far (expect a more "formal" write-up at another time.)

  • Daily Rites
  • Divine Intervention
  • Crafting (probably sewing/fabric related, hence the featured image)

How have you approached your craft? Do you find it easier (or better) to follow what someone has laid out? Perhaps, you have made your craft unique; how so? I would love to hear about it. 😄
